API Aqua Essential 118 mL (4 fl oz) is a compact bottle of concentrated water conditioner for freshwater, saltwater and planted aquariums. Use it when preparing tap water for an aquarium or performing a water change.

Key features

Conditions tap water by treating chlorine, chloramine and heavy metals.
Also formulated to detoxify ammonia, nitrite and nitrate.
Suitable for freshwater, saltwater and planted aquariums.

How to use

For tap-water treatment, the stated dose is 5 ml per 189 litres. For ammonia, nitrite and nitrate treatment, it is 5 ml per 38 litres. Check the bottle label and select the correct dose for the purpose.

Important precautions

Test water and maintain biological filtration and water changes. Detoxification does not replace removal of accumulated waste or correction of an underlying water-quality problem.
